SECAT
The Spanish Catalysis Society (SECAT) has its antecedents in the Specialized Group of Catalysis (GRECAT), established in 1972 within the Spanish Royal Society of Physics and Chemistry. In the general assembly of the Group in July 1995, it was decided to become an independent society. SECAT is a non-profit scientific society formed by about 300 members and its activities are related to the study, use and applications of Catalysis.
SECAT has, among others, the following main objectives:
1. - To favor the scientific and technical development of the different branches of Catalysis, fostering all activities related to the study and use of catalysts and catalytic processes.
2. - To promote the union among scientists working in Catalysis and the organization of at least a scientific meeting every other year of the R & D groups working on Catalysis in Spain.
3. - To increase the professional knowledge of its members and favor the exchange of such knowledge through congresses, conferences, workshops, symposia and publications.
4. - To enhance the relations with other national and international organizations having similar activities and, in particular, with other groups working on Catalysis.
