1.- Premios para Tesis 2017
ThePRIZE for the Doctoral Thesisque una Comisión Especializada considere más relevante de las presentadas por socios de la SECAT durante el año 2017 en cualquier Universidad Española, en el ámbito de la Catálisis.
Bases:
Candidates: All those Doctoral Theses defended between the1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2017por estudiantes-socios de la SECAT en la fecha de presentación de la Tesis.
Commission: The Prize Committee will be made up of 3 scientists from the field of Catalysis, members of SECAT, elected by the Governing Board, with no direct link to the candidates, acting as Secretary of the same by SECAT (who will not have a vote in the decision). The composition of the panel shall be public.
Presentation: Para poder optar al Premio, deberá enviarse a la Secretaría de la SECATusing the appropriate formtogether with a digital copy of the Doctoral Thesis, the accreditation of the qualification obtained and the date of defence and a brief CV, before the2 de marzo de 2018in PDF format.
Prize: The prize will consist of the invitation to present the most relevant work of the Thesis within the framework of SECAT'19, with the Society covering the costs of registration and accommodation to the Congress. Likewise, during the Congress, a Diploma and Special Mention will be awarded to the winner. The result will be communicated through the SECAT website.
2.- Organización de Jornadas, Jornadas, Cursos y Actividades para el Fomento de la Catálisis de Catálisis
Se abre un plazo de presentación de solicitudes para organizar Jornadas para la Divulgación de la Catálisis, Cursos Avanzados y otras actividades con el fin principal de dar a conocer y dar difusión la Catálisis organizados por socios de la SECAT.

Requests: SECAT members who wish to do so with more than one year's seniority in SECAT may apply for partial funding, providing the following documentation:

-Programa de Actividades, detallando los actos que se realizarán: seminarios, exposiciones, conferencias, etc.
-Presupuesto detallado de las Jornadas incluyendo la ayuda que se solicita a la SECAT y las ayudas que se solicitarán a otros Organismos públicos y/o privados.
-Programa de Becas-Ayudas para socios de la SECAT, difusión y alcance
Advanced Courses:Corresponding formdetallando:
-Programa del Curso, incluyendo actividades que se puedan realizar paralelamente: prácticas, seminarios, exposiciones, conferencias, etc.
-Presupuesto detallado del Curso, incluyendo la ayuda que se solicita a la SECAT y las ayudas que se solicitarán a otros Organismos públicos y/o privados.
-Número de alumnos estimado, detallando el porcentaje aproximado de estudiantes socios de la SECAT.
-Alcance de las actividades: hacia quién van dirigidas, medios de divulgación, etc.
Organization of other activitiesfor the promotion of Catalysis not included in the previous points, organized by SECAT partners.
Realization: La presente convocatoria se refiere a cualquier actividad que se celebre desde la fecha de la convocatoria hasta el31 de octubre de 2018.
Application Deadline: The digitized documentation must be sent to the SECAT Secretariat using theCorresponding form, como mínimo un mes antes del inicio de la celebración de las jornadas.
Evaluation and Resolution: The SECAT Governing Board will evaluate the applications received and decide on funding, up to a maximum of 60% of the budget submitted; never exceeding the amount of €1,000. The Board's decision will be announced as soon as possible.
3.- Mobility Program
SECAT aims to promote the mobility of Fellows and Students between laboratories of the Groups belonging to SECAT, granting grants to partially finance visits for research not eligible for funding by other programmes.
Bases
Candidates: Students and Scholarship holders, not PhDs, who meet the following requirements will be eligible for these grants:
-Ser socio de la SECAT con al menos un año de antigüedad
-El científico responsable de su trabajo debe ser socio de la SECAT
-El científico responsable del equipo en el que va a realizar la visita debe ser socio de la SECAT
-La estancia debe ser de una duración mínima de una semana y realizarse a lo largo del año 2018.
Help: SECAT will evaluate each application and grant a Travel Grant of up to €300 for the first week and up to €150 per additional week; with a maximum of €750 per applicant per year; upon presentation of the justification of the stay, which must contain a brief summary of the work carried out and the certification of the scientist responsible for the team where the stay has been carried out.
Documentation: To apply for the grant, the following documents must be submitted:
Corresponding form, with a brief description of the work to be carried out at the Receiving Centre, with the Approval of the Director of the work at the Sending Centre.
Letter of Acceptance from the Director of the work at the Receiving Center.
Deadlines: Esta Convocatoria, por su naturaleza, permanecerá abierta hastaseptiembre de 2018. Periódicamente se evaluarán por parte de la Junta de Gobierno las solicitudes recibidas, procediendo a notificar a los interesados en el menor plazo de tiempo posible la decisión tomada.
Submission of applications: The application and other documentation must be sent to the SECAT Secretariat well in advance of the date on which the stay is to be carried out, to ensure that the application can be evaluated by the Governing Board in a reasonable time.
4.- Becas SECAT-de Introducción a la Investigación en Catálisis BECAS INTRO-2018
As part of the Programme of Activities for the Promotion of Catalysis, SECAT calls for a total of10 BECAS DE INTRODUCCIÓN A LA INVESTIGACIÓN EN EL ÁREA DE CATÁLISIS.
Purpose of the call
La presente convocatoria tiene por objeto la concesión de 10 Becas de Introducción a la Investigación en Catálisis para alumnos que estén realizando el último curso de Grado, Licenciatura o Ingeniería. Las becas se conceden en régimen de concurrencia competitiva y de acuerdo con los principios de objetividad y publicidad. El plan de trabajo de estas becas se desarrollará en Centros de Investigación o Departamentos Universitarios, bajo la dirección de investigadores de su plantilla que sean miembros de la Sociedad Española de Catálisis con una antigüedad mínima de un año.
Application Deadline

Beneficiaries
Podrán solicitar las becas objeto de la presente convocatoria los alumnos universitarios que tengan aprobados como mínimo el 70% de la totalidad de créditos necesarios para obtener la titulación y que estén matriculados durante el curso 2017/2018 en una Facultad o Escuela Técnica Superior Universitaria española en un número total de créditos suficiente para completar el total de créditos requeridos para obtener la titulación, a excepción de los créditos correspondientes al Proyecto Fin de Carrera o Trabajo Fin de Grado en aquellas titulaciones en que éste sea necesario.
Period and conditions of enjoyment
The scholarships will have a duration ofTHREE MONTHSy se disfrutarán entre los meses de junio y octubre de 2018, con una dedicación a jornada completa. Podrán ser compatibles con el disfrute de otras becas o ayudas de investigación de similares características.
Financial endowment
- La cuantía total de cada beca será de 900 €.
- Las ayudas una vez concedidas se harán efectivas tras finalizar la actividad siempre que hayan sido justificadas adecuadamente.
- The Centre where the work plan is to be carried out will be responsible for taking out an accident insurance policy for the beneficiary during the period of enjoyment of the scholarship.

- Personal Academic Certificationen la que deberán figurar todas las asignaturas y créditos aprobados desde el comienzo de los estudios universitarios hasta la fecha de la solicitud y la nota media obtenida, referida al total de créditos o asignaturas aprobados. Asimismo deberán figurar las asignaturas y el número total de créditos en que se encuentra matriculado el solicitante durante el curso 2017/2018 y el número total de créditos necesarios para obtener la titulación de la carrera universitaria cursada por el solicitante.
In the event that the applicant has accessed a higher level cycle or degree from intermediate level studies, the average grade obtained in these intermediate level studies must appear in the academic certificate. Otherwise, the Academic Certificate corresponding to these intermediate level studies must also be attached. - Resumeof the applicant.

Selection of candidates
La selección de los candidatos será realizada por una comisión ad hoc nombrada por el Presidente de la SECAT. La comisión elaborará una propuesta de adjudicación de becas y una relación complementaria de suplentes por orden de prelación para los supuestos de renuncia o no incorporación de los beneficiarios.
The following criteria will be taken into account for the evaluation of the applications:
- Academic record, Curriculum Vitae and Motivation Letter of the candidate (up to 8 points).
- Work plan proposed by the Director of the Fellowship and adaptation of the topic to the area of Catalysis (up to 2 points).
Obligations of Fellows
La aceptación de la beca por el beneficiario implica la de las condiciones fijadas en la presente convocatoria. Los becarios estarán obligados a:
- Join the centre indicated for the enjoyment of the scholarship on the date indicated in the notification of award.
- Collaborate with the researcher assigned as Director of Research, according to the research plan proposed by the latter, take advantage of the training program and the calendar of activities derived from the above and adjust to the rules of organization and operation of the center where the work plan is to be carried out.
- To carry out their work in the centre for which the grant has been awarded during the period of the grant, with the authorisation of the Presidency of the SECAT, which will decide in agreement with the Management of the corresponding centres, for any change of centre or Director, being necessary for any change of centre or Director.

Noncompliance
Failure to comply with the necessary requirements or obligations assumed as a result of the award of the grant may lead to the extinction of the right to use it or to the modification of the decision granting it and the reimbursement of the amounts received.

5.- SECAT Scholarships for the Master's Thesis in Catalysis
Dentro del Programa de Actividades para el Fomento de la Catálisis, la SECAT convoca, un total de 10 BECAS para realización deMASTER'S THESIS IN CATALYSIS.
Purpose of the call
La presente convocatoria tiene por objeto la concesión de 10 Becas para alumnos que estén cursando un máster oficial. Las becas se conceden en régimen de concurrencia competitiva y de acuerdo con los principios de objetividad y publicidad. El Proyecto Fin de Máster se desarrollará en el campo de la Catálisis en Centros de Investigación o Departamentos Universitarios, bajo la dirección de investigadores de su plantilla que sean miembros de la Sociedad Española de Catálisis con una antigüedad mínima de un año.

Beneficiaries
Podrán solicitar las becas objeto de la presente convocatoria los alumnos universitarios que estén matriculados durante el curso 2017/2018 en un Máster Oficial en alguna universidad española.

- Las ayudas una vez concedidas se harán efectivas al finalizar la actividad siempre que hayan sido justificadas adecuadamente, tras la recepción de la documentación acreditativa de haber defendido el Proyecto Fin de Máster.La beca no tendrá consideración de salario o remuneración, sino de ayuda para formación.

- Presentar con anterioridad al 20 de diciembre de 2018, i) copia electrónica de la Memoria del Trabajo Fin de Máster, ii) documento acreditativo de defensa y calificación y iii) así como un informe descriptivo de la labor realizada con una extensión máxima de 500 palabras. El informe deberá incluir el VºBº del Director de investigación. El informe digitalizado se deberá enviar por correo electrónico a la Secretaría de la SECAT, secretaria@secat.es.
- Record in any publication that is a consequence of the activity carried out during the enjoyment of the scholarship, their status as a scholarship holder of the SECAT Aid Program for the realization of Master's Thesis Final Projects in Catalysis.
