The Academic College of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), in its 371st session, approved the granting of the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Dr. Joaquín Pérez Pariente.
The Members of the Academic College have highlighted his work on adsorbent and catalytic materials, the responsibility in projects financed by private industries with other countries and the authorship of 26 patents and more than 200 publications in indexed journals. His contribution and collaboration with the UAM began more than 20 years ago, receiving both visiting researchers and students from the Azcapotzalco Unit at the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry, which he has directed; giving lectures and specialized courses to the community of that Mexican university.
