The line of research of Biorefinery Catalysts & Processes, from the group Chemical Technologies for Environmental Sustainability (TQSA), is looking for a pre-doctoral researcher to carry out the Doctoral Thesis.
The thesis project to be carried out is part of the group's lines of research that include the development of heterogeneous processes and catalysts that contribute to the circular economy and decarbonization, by obtaining chemical products from compounds derived from biomass.
The researcher will be part of a multidisciplinary environment, and will have the opportunity to train in various techniques for characterizing catalytic solids, as well as the possibility of staying abroad in a research center within their training period.
The researcher and will carry out the following Tasks, including:
- Catalyst synthesis and characterization (structural, physico-chemical, surface, etc.)
- Catalytic evaluation in a tube reactor, with analysis of the products obtained
- Dissemination of results in group meetings, publications, participation in congresses, etc.
The project to be developed is part of the activities of the research group TQSA (https://www.tqsa.es/), Consolidated Group type A recognised by the Basque Government (IT1509-22).
Requirements:
The candidate must be in possession of a Master in areas related to the Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Engineering.
